We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The ambiance was lovely and quaint, but it’s the service that stood out. Roberto was so kind and made wonderful recommendations due to my gluten sensitivity, which can be a bummer when eating out. The menu surprisingly had several GF options! The GF pasta was the best I’ve had in Boston, hands down. Their wine menu was lengthy and well priced. We will definitely be back.

Had a pretty good dinner here! I really enjoyed the sole piccata dish (it was a special) and the homemade ravioli with spinach and ricotta was decent. The bread we got to start was hot and I definitely could have said yes when they asked if we wanted more. The beets I got were just okay—they were skimpy on the Gorgonzola. Opted out for dessert but a solid meal in Beacon Hill for sure!

I have been here quite a few times with friends, and husband for one NYE ! I come because the bolognese is the best at ANY restaurant I have ever been, and trust me that’s saying a lot ! My Server tonight was Erick and his team included Marisela, and they could not have both been any more kind or professional! I hope I get them both again one day! Liz, a Manager is always nice and helpful when I call! There was another man tonight -guessing The Lead (owner ?) who allowed me to sit at a very nice table ! The food is served hot , and as always delicious! The drinks were great too!
The atmosphere is VERY Beacon Hill Cozy which is just so calming but fun! This place is a local fav , and it’s hard to deny the established and hard earned Vibe❣️❣️

Been coming regularly whenever in Boston for over 5 years (probably 2 or 3 times a year) and sadly, the last 2 visits (November '25 & 2 days ago Apr '26) were pretty awful. The food quality has dropped considerably. Saturday night's dinner: the table bread bowl was warm soft dinner rolls that were very lackluster. The oil and balsamic dispensers were sticky to the touch and were faulty, pouring excessively, creating a mess on the plates of 2 of our guests. The bruschetta app was awful. A bunch of flavorless chopped tomatoes and a few cubes of mozzarella came with 2 slices of what looked like a slice of a square bread loaf, coated with olive oil. No embellishment whatsoever. No shred of basil, salt or anything. It was poor presentation and pretty lackluster in taste. The meatballs app was delicious. I has seafood risotto and it was pretty gummy. A salmon medallion pasta dish(the special) had overcooked salmon and pretty flavorless pasta. A filet ordered medium rare came raw in the middle. The wine choices are consistently excellent. Overall, while I used to believe this restaurant was absolutely a cut way above typical North End tourist Italian food and therefore would always choose here, I am done. Back to Mamma Maria's for us.

First time coming to Toscano's. My date and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was great. Service was very helpful and polite as well. Overer all, it was a great dining experience after skating at the commons.

Beautiful upscale restaurant with a hometown feel right on Charles. The manager was lovely and constantly came to check on everyone (Brian Kelly). Wine selection was good. Accommodated us with our dog, and even let you have 1/2 of one entre and 1/2 of another if you couldn't make up your mind! Will definitely be going back.

The food, the ambience and the service all were excellent. But most of all Bojan’s service was the highlight. He made our night. He did everything that we would hope for and more - much more.

Might be controversial - but I think this is the best Italian in Boston! The off menu chicken parm is so delicious and the marina is somehow light while the chicken always comes out crispy. Every single pasta I’ve gotten is delicious and fresh. I also love the appetizer eggplant Parmesan (although it does take about 20 minutes to make). The wine’s by the glass are fantastic and have something for everyone. Just love this place - I’m definitely a regular!

Kid-friendliness
Very kid friendly especially during the early bird special time of night. The staff is always so friendly with my daughter and make sure to get her a cup with a top/straw as well as her buttered pasta.

We came at around 2pm and we had a great time! I had the special - grilled chicken with mushroom risotto. It took a little while to come (roughly 20-30 mins) but the servers made sure we had enough bread to stay satiated, and it was well worth the wait!!! Will definitely be back!

Good service, great food, in a great location. Told our waiter Peter I was between two different pastas and he mentioned that they can split them. Both pastas were excellent. Super personable staff and everything was quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

I believe this is the best restaurant I’ve experienced in Boston and the surrounding areas over the past decade in terms of service. I’m not sure if the quality of all the staff is as high, but at least today, Jo provided service that left me extremely satisfied. There were several details that stood out to me, which is rare in Boston’s dining scene. For example, when I ordered hot water for my family, Jo thoughtfully asked if we would like an extra pot on the side to ensure we could refill our cups at any time. Additionally, she would occasionally come by our table to check the temperature of the pot with her hand to ensure the water hadn’t cooled down. She also made sure the table was tidy and checked if any utensils needed to be replaced between each course. Her introduction of the dishes and drinks was both professional and warm.
As for the food, it was excellent. I tried the three-course menu of Dine Out Boston menu, and the appetizer, main course, and dessert were all top-notch. If the regular menu maintains this standard and the overall service quality is as outstanding as Jo’s, this will definitely be my favorite restaurant in the Boston area.

I feel so sorry to write a less than positive review, but my wife and I had dinner here tonight: she ordered the mixed seafood pasta and I ordered the linguine pesto and we both could only eat a few bites. The bread basket was lackluster dinner rolls😳 We did order the spinach side and it was good. We felt both dishes were way over priced. All and all, a very disappointing experience.

Delicious food, excellent service - the staff are all extremely attentive and mindful!
I dropped a spoon and someone heard the sound and immediately came and replaced it for me. I also noticed our waiter, Daniel, checking in on us throughout the meal from afar without coming up to us every time. I felt very taken care of. The food was also delicious, I had half Rigatoni Toscano and half Four Cheese Gnocchi as recommended by our waiter and it was a perfect combo!
The ambience is cozy and warm, I’d love to come back and recommend it to all.

Have been here a few times and the service is simply too poor at this price level.
Even simply coming in the door and asking to sit at the bar to eat, I get accosted as to whether I plan to eat or only drink there, as if they're going to deny service if I don't plan to eat there (?) Mind you - it's 3pm and the restaurant and bar is essentially empty. Just a weird experience but I don't get why they even ask this question - it just comes off poorly.
On top of that - the servers are pushing apps and desert fairly aggressively, but meanwhile never brought me out any bread or offered to refill my water in the 30min I was there. Just an odd experience for this neighborhood and there are many other better choices on this same street.
